Last week, the third grade classroom received eggs to, hopefully, hatch. Today, we candled a couple eggs to see where the light shone through and where growing chicks blocked the light. Every day three pairs of students from 3rd and 4th grades act as the mother hen's feet to rotate the eggs. The incubator provides warmth and humidity. It will be an exciting time in mid-March when some of these eggs hatch!

The Zion boys' basketball team traveled to West Point for the Lutheran Roundball Tournament. The boys played hard and came home with a special trophy - the tournament Sportsmanship Award. This award is awarded to the coach and team that best exemplified Christ-like behavior in a competitive setting. This award is made by the tournament refs who witnessed first-hand how the team handed the challenges of winning and losing with character and grace. Well done Coach DeLoach and team! We're proud of you!
