Several years ago Zion Lutheran School’s PTL decided to make some significant changes to its annual auction and dinner. The inaugural event utilized acronym P.E.A.C.E. or People Excited About Christian Education. It was designed as an opportunity to celebrate and raise critical supplemental funds for the school. The location of the auction and dinner was also changed to an off-site conference center in order to allow for more people to attend and provide a spectacular night of fellowship for the supporters of Zion Lutheran School. A guest speaker has been a noteworthy addition to the P.E.A.C.E. Auction and Dinner as well. We have been honored to have Governor Pete Ricketts, Rev. Dr. Brian Friedrich, President of Concordia University, and numerous alumni participate in our fundraiser.

Over the last ten years, this event has provided the means to make substantial improvements to Zion Lutheran School. Thanks to the incredible contributions given over the years, several key upgrades and updates have been made which include the following: refurbishing of the school library, significant updating of school classrooms, improvement of the school playground, increased security measures, and the major remodeling of the school restrooms, have all worked to maintain a quality facility for the students. Specially designated funds have also been able to provide tuition assistance for many, many students.

On March 16, 2019, Zion Lutheran School held its 10th P.E.A.C.E. Auction and Dinner at the Holiday Inn Convention Center at 5:30 pm. The live auction once again was led by Pat Slack, a broker and auctioneer with Century 21 Midlands.
