Early Registration Opens January 4th, 2012!
Registration will open to the public on January 4th, 2012. Our programs are very highly sought after so you won’t want to wait too long to register. Classes are filled on a first-come basis, and your child’s space in a class will only be reserved once the registration fee has been paid and the registration form completed.
Zion Lutheran will be offering several sections of early childhood classes for the 2012-2013 school year. We will be offering the following programs:
3 year old preschool: We having a growing reputation for excellence in early childhood education and we fill this class quickly. We try to maintain a low student-teacher ratio so we limit the number of students to 12. The three year old preschool program will now offer both the traditional Tuesday/Thursday schedule and a new Monday/Wednesday/Friday format. Classes will meet from 8:15-11:15 a.m.
4 year old Prekindergarten: This class is an appropriate transition from the twice-a-week preschool to the daily, full day Kindergarten. Class is held Monday thru Friday. We currently offer a two morning classes and an afternoon section. A teacher and an aide will teach all three sections. Prekindergarten classes are also kept small (only 15 students per class) to ensure lots of individual attention. Morning classes meet from 8:15-11:15 and are given the opportunity to stay for lunch. Afternoon classes meet from 12:30 to 3:15 p.m. This program filled in two days last year, so don’t delay in signing up!
5 year old Kindergarten: Our Kindergarten class is the final transition to formal schooling. Our kindergarten meets every day, Monday through Friday from 8:15 to 3:30. The majority of our students graduate from Kindergarten able to read (strong phonics emphasis) and are very academically prepared for the challenges of first grade.
1st-7th Grade: Zion has a stellar reputation for providing rigorous curriculum and for being a place that parents are comfortable sending their child to. If you have any interest in a Christian education for your child, please come talk with us! You’ll be glad you did!
