PEACE 2012

On the evening of Saturday, March 17, 2012, Zion Lutheran School continued its new tradition of hosting the P.E.A.C.E. (People Excited About Christian Education) auction and dinner at the Ramada Inn in Kearney, Nebraska.  The night included a silent auction, a wonderful meal prepared by talented Chef Kevin Morris, a speech given by Zion alumnus Deb Fiddelke, a live auction, and entertainment by harpist, Michelle Duffy.  The evening was a smashing success as we were able to surpass the previous year’s profits.  The number of donors and auction items were truly a blessing.  God is good!

The coordinating committee of Sharon Obasi, Rachel Strong, and Lisa Splittgerber put in tireless hours of planning and preparation.  They were assisted by many others, who also committed a great deal of time, including:  Nicole Billings, Jessica Blattner, Rachael Burger, Carol and Pastor DeLoach, Kelly Eckhoff, Nora Erickson, Mary Fiddelke, Liz Gaunt, Evelyn Heiden, Marc Hoffman, Steve Junge, Rhonda Kathol, Brian and Trisha Kroll, Jenn McReynolds, Shirley Oertwig, Teresa Osmanski, Anthony Splittgerber, Brenda Vasichek, and Darcy Willers.  We thank the many volunteers who have devoted their time, energy, and talents to help with the P.E.A.C.E. Auction and Dinner.  We apologize if any names were left out.

Funds raised at the auction will be used to makeover the area around the school playground and for tuition assistance.
