PEACE 2011

On the evening of Saturday, March 19, 2011 Zion Lutheran School continued its new tradition of hosting the P.E.A.C.E. (People Excited About Christian Education) auction and dinner at the Ramada Inn in Kearney, Nebraska.  The night included a silent auction, a wonderful meal prepared by talented Chef Poche, a speech given by Zion alumnus Mark Suleiman, a live auction, and entertainment by the Richards Family.  The evening was a smashing success as we were able to surpass the previous year’s profits.  The number of donors and auction items were truly a blessing.  God is good!

The coordinating committee of Marcia Fox, Sharon Obasi, Rachel Strong, and Lisa Splittgerber put in tireless hours of planning and preparation.  They were assisted by many others, who also committed a great deal of time, including:  Nicole Billings, Jessica Blattner, Rhonda Kathol, Dr. Nathan Gaunt, Anthony Splittgerber, and Marc Hoffman.

Funds raised at the auction were applied to the addition of a new preschool classroom and tuition assistance.
